What to expect at Paris Packaging Week 2025

Paris Packaging Week, which will be held on January 28-29th 2025, in Hall 1 at Paris Porte de Versailles, will be bigger than ever with an expected turnout of more than 750 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors with new spaces dedicated to start-ups, and Pentawards Festival. This event will also offers new immersive zones, such as the Discovery Zone and a Full-Service Zone (including Formulation / Ingredients), to respond to the technological and sustainability challenges of the industry. The expansion to a newer hall not only accommodates for more exhibitors, it will also offer new and enhanced show features.

A host of tailored conferences

The conference will feature four key stages: the Circular Economy Stage, Future Innovation Forum, Pentawards Festival stage, and the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit, each addressing the industry's most urgent challenges.

Industry leaders from iconic brands like Unilever, Yves Rocher, LVMH, Colgate-Palmolive, Reckitt, Kering, FFS and Umvin, will unite to reveal exclusive insights and share their expertise on tackling the packaging sector’s most pressing challenges, from sustainability and design to recyclability and the transformative power of AI

Special events and Awards

Discovery Zone: An area that will host a space for start-ups with disruptive packaging solutions within the world of beauty, personal care, luxury, drinks, and aerosols.

ESEPAC School x Merci Handy: These second-year master's students in packaging engineering, enrolled in the "Digiprint'" program, are challenged to propose innovative solutions that enable users to wash their hands without using water, while maintaining the sense of pleasure and simplicity that embodies the Merci Handy brand.

Emballé 5.0 . Organized by the CNE - Conseil National de l’Emballage -, the contest is open to multiple universities and schools, including ENSAIA Nancy, Institu Agro Dijon, and PEC IUT Reims. Students will tackle three key themes:

  • Reducing plastic waste: proposing solutions to minimize waste and product losses while emphasizing the essential protective function of packaging.
  • Reuse: innovative ways to reuse packaging in the e-commerce sector, addressing the growing volume of e-commerce packages globally.
  • Luxury product packaging theme: designing eco-friendly packaging solutions for luxury products such as cosmetics, perfumes, and spirits, while adhering to the regulatory requirements of eco-design.

ESI Reims School x Brockmans Gin: ESI Reims students will design eco-responsible packaging solutions for luxury spirits. Brockmans aims to balance environmental consciousness with the demands of a refined clientele. Contest in two briefs:

  • designing an elegant presentation box for WŸLD, an exclusive annual gin release limited to 3,000 bottles,
  • or creating a sophisticated presentation system for Brockmans' Super Premium range, suited to retail or B2B settings.

Both options emphasise eco-friendly materials, recyclability, and premium aesthetics.

The PCD - Perfume Cosmetics - Innovation Awards will be held at 4:00 PM, on Tuesday, 28 January, at the Circular Economy Stage.

The organisers will unveil an exclusive trend report, that will be sent to attendees after the show. The report covers a range of critical and emerging topics set to reshape packaging in 2025 and beyond, including:
