New launches and developments from Lumson
Lumson, Italian supplier of technical and high-performing packaging solutions for the cosmetics industry, recently showcased several innovations in lipstick and makeup, alongside new glass and aluminium solutions with sustainability and versatility at their core.
Currently, Lumson’s lipstick portfolio includes 14 solutions/ranges that embody versatility, technical and productive know-how, and attention to sustainability: from those made with recyclable and/or recycled materials to mono-material solutions. In terms of versatility (100% PP, 95% PCR PP, PCR ABS), airtight certainly deserves a place of honour: a safe, elegant packaging option, designed for transfer-proof and long-lasting lipstick.
Into the Cosmos: The new lipstick collection
Taking a creative approach, Lumson envisioned reinterpreting some standard lipsticks that have been modified and adorned with the wonders of the cosmos.
“Into The Cosmos” invites you on a journey into space, a world partly known and partly unexplored, in order to create wonder and marvel. The collection is embellished with shades of colour reminiscent of the Milky Way: from deep glittery hues similar to those of the midnight sky to cosmic sand that comes alive in both colour and to the touch.
Instead, other lipsticks are characterised by silver finishes that evoke lunar rocks and extremely bright, fluorescent colours reminiscent of a supernova explosion.
Divine and Red Velvet: Two new makeup capsule collections
Among the new releases are Red Velvet and Divine, two capsule collections designed for the makeup world.
Red Velvet, composed of a lipstick, two 15ml and 30ml glass bottles, and two 5ml and 30ml glass jars, aims to impress with its sensual shades of red.
Divine, with its captivating, textured 10ml and 20ml glass bottles, 3 jars in 7ml, 15ml, 30ml sizes, and a 3.4ml lip gloss, is designed to provide an experience that completely envelopes the senses. The textured shapes are appealing to the touch, while nude undertones give the collection a delicate allure and the effect of being encompassed in a soft light.
The Slim Rechargeable and the Essential collection: Sustainable offerings in glass and aluminium
The Re-Place refillable jar launched in 2022 and is now available in a slim version for a refillable 50ml glass jar with a minimalistic design and sustainable footprint. Its features make it a functional yet eco-friendly solution: the glass jar can also be made in PCR Glass (25%), while the mono-material cover is designed to facilitate recycling once the product is finished and to prevent visual aesthetic defects.
The theme of sustainability is further reinforced by the refillable solution, embracing the concepts of Re-Think (packaging is reconceptualized with an emphasis on eco-friendly design.), Re-Gen (a 'second life' is given to the glass jar), and Re-Act (the consumer is an active part of the recycling process)
Essential is Lumson’s new aluminium collection featuring four 50ml, 75ml, 100ml, and 150ml atmospheric bottles that can be combined with either sprays or cream pumps.
Thanks to the versatility of aluminium, this collection is perfect for both luxury and masstige products spanning skincare, body care, hair care, and sun care. Every product in the collection can be customised by adding different effects and decorations – including offset printing, which supports up to six colours.
Essential can also be made in 100% PCR aluminium, and bottles can be paired with dispensing systems in different materials, such as PP, PCR PP, and aluminium overshell. With aluminium being an infinitely recyclable and versatile material, the Essential collection promises to deliver great functionality, aesthetically-pleasing design, and strong environmental consciousness, meeting both market and consumer demands.
