How creativity can level up your innovations in sustainability

Sustainability is not just a buzz word but an actual requirement for brands globally. Consumers are demanding it!

The beauty industry has taken up the challenge head on with new ideas and innovations which are now invading the market, and more will come. It’s only the beginning.

Sustainability brings a lot of restrictions in the product development process, especially for beauty. We need to design for end-of-life (which we don’t always know): hence most beauty brands moving to mono-material solutions, using recycled materials, or developing overall new ways to deliver product formulas, etc.

It’s not all. And it’s not that easy.

We kind of need to reinvent ourselves. Before, it was all about the flashy, and the shiny and the indulgence, after all we offer beauty routines, so the luxury aspect is important. But how do we keep our products luxurious while reducing or eliminating their negative impact on the planet?

Creativity!

When restrictions increase, we need to develop an out-of-the box thinking. We need to go a bit further, go the extra mile and leave the comfort zone.

Constraints are a good stimuli to creativity.

On the day 1 of the conferences, held at Cosmoprof Asia, with a focus on sustainability & circular beauty – 16th November, at 13.45pm –  we’ll invite on stage experts to talk about how they tackle sustainability in formulation, in packaging and to serve consumers’ demand.

We’ll start the talk with an introduction of current trends in sustainability, to help you prepare for the next beauty and green wave. Then thanks to testimonials from beauty professionals we’ll demonstrate the ideas in the formulation or the packaging sphere so you will be able to decipher the good ideas from the bad. Then we’ll receive a brand testimonial on chat consumers are expecting and demanding on the market.

Sustainability is still fairly recent, or the way we address it today is new! We need to learn together from each other’s experiences so that we can build a better future.
